I asked and it seems like the comic doesn't have a novel, that would explain the sudden flashbacks and not even 3 months having passed from the first chapter, they are writing it on the fly, very dissapointing that in all this time they still have to make filler arcs like the recent battle between MC GF and the princess.
Star General is a very big project in China, as most manhua come and go, but this one have a line of toys almost comparable to Gundam gunpla, hence the quality staying high.
I take things like filler arcs, flashforwards and other chapters showing stuff we aren't much interested in as they showing other mechas for their line of toys, like 1 or 2 every couple months for fans with money, even with that the slowness is hard to accept.
For your question…the spies in MC city are a mess, there are too many different groups, the empire ones, the assassin group of his could be GF, yellow hat cucks, the princess he saved from the gang group, etc.
I can't keep track.

Even if the title of the chapter says one thing this is just a a small invasion, maybe a preview of what will happen later, at least the studio didn't ruin MC preparation the last couple years by making the dimension break start in the wrong place.

…finally out of that fucking flashforward, and I can say with no doubt in me that it was FUCKING UNEEDED, everything in it was filler, the fights were well made for no reason at all, every event in it will not happen, this Maste rcharacter was finally introduced after more than 270 chapters just to show that she is stronger than any character MC encountered as she could see through his formation and even knew he was a fake controleld by the ring.
I can't even call it a way to fil ltime for the writers to refine the plot as is impossible that in all this years they don't know what to do now that the monster stampede is finally coming , that shitty arc was only made to introduce the princess gundam so that they can start sales on the model.

exactly, I was thinking about the fight which was actually quite well done but I didn't care about seeing that fight or the result, I just thought it was a waste of chapters, in addition to the absurd effort that the artist must have had to draw those detailed robots in different angles and positions.
