dude, they're not even the same species of ants. of course she can't control them! Someone send this guy to the Antscanada channel! he needs to learn more about Ants and other species of social insects! And even if she was the same species that doesn't mean she'd be able to control them, if she's not even from the same nest as them, not a lot of ants will tolerate the existence of other colonies even if they the same species.

Seriously, the very last story I worked on the MC is born from a mutated species of Ants that over a few generations of rapid mutations evolved into Chimera Ants with Queens having developed the ability to self reincarnate themselves into their own clone/offspring by merging their consciousness with their undeveloped offspring. My Chimera Ants originated as a colony of Black Crazy Ants, a species capable of cloning. The Queen's can clone her mates as her sons who're genetically unrelated to her and she can also clone herself, so her sons and Queen daughters can mate, and being a highly polygamous species, as long as there's 1 mated queen, and a food supply, a colony will never die off and will in a very short period of time grow very rapidly as more Queens are born, never needing to leave the nest to find a mate.

In my story, Monsters are created when normal creatures consume the flesh and or blood of a Demon, gaining traits and abilities from the Demon they consumed the flesh and blood of. Humans were researching ways to obtain immense power after discovering these properties, and had created some drugs from Demons bodies, which ended up scattered near a nest when they got attacked mid transport, and the ants collected and consumed the drugs and well, everything else, and over a few generations they mutated and evolved into stronger, smarter and more dangerous creatures. Even so drastically that one Queen who developed the Chimera traits was chased out of her birth nest because her pheromones were drastically different, no longer needing to sexually reproduce to produce offspring, using their own genes and mana, they can produce endless eggs and reconfigure the genetics of their offspring to produce hybrids.

A some time later, the Chimera Ant species had developed and became a threat to humans and they were quick to respond to their existence. The Chimera Queens was captured alive and raised in a lab where the drugs had come from, and she was endlessly experimented on and she produced numerous new queens while held Captive. Their main abilities were genetic hybridization of their offspring which they can produce endlessly as long as they have mana, telepathy that allowed them near absolute dominance over their Non-Queen offspring, even going so far as to be able to possess their bodies when desired.

The eldest Queen, figured out how to reincarnate herself and evolve herself by combining these core abilities, to hide an egg inside of their bodies with a Queen growing inside it, which they fuse their mind to before it even develops a will of it's own, and she uses this to fake her death and escape captivity.

After half of the Queens copy her to escape captivity the humans catch on to their ability and prevent the remaining Queens from using it to escape, killing off their captive offspring as they realize that as long as the Queens had a host body they could possess, they could just have the other queens reincarnate them. The escaped Queens are all systematically wiped out and without a body to telepathically overshadow they truly die.

Time passes and the remaining Queens, develop their Telepathy enough that they're able to subtly manipulate Humans, since they can't directly control them like they can their own offspring, the most they can do is induce nightmares and paranoia and other such annoyances. They do this to manipulate them into feeding them other kinds of Monsters, so that they can produce offspring with certain genetic abilities and patiently bided their time and endured being experimented upon until they were ready. Once they had enough Sacrificial Acid Blood Ants, they made their escape from captivity and slaughtered every human in their path. They even had contingency plans in place in case they were wiped out instead, leaving behind a Queen Egg and some Ants to tend to them and keep them safe, 1 egg per Queen.

Durring the chaos of the outbreak, the facility gets highly damaged and all but 1 of the eggs survives thanks to it falling into a hole that an Acid Blood Ant had created to facilitate their escape. This egg was kept safe by it's guardian sister and she burrowed deep underground and lost her telepathic connection to the other queens and failed to recieve any orders so she continued protecting and caring for the egg.

This Egg would eventually hatch into the MC, fed during her entire growth period on the flesh of her own sister Ants and humans who died, as a result of her Chimera traits, she was born with a very humanoid form (similar to Beru from Solo Leveling, only smaller and female in appearance) Also as a result, her consciousness is far closer to that of a humans. She learns a lot from her guardian sister via telepathy, using her sister's Hive Mind Memories from when she was connected to the colony's hivemind, which allowed the MC to learn, A LOT just by pouring over these memories.

While developing her comprehension of who and what she is and the generations of memories she inherited through the Hivemind's memories as she explored outside the facility, she ends up connecting with one of her aunts whose colony was in the midst of being raided by Humans who had discovered her colony's activities. Her Aunt tried to forcefully overshadow the mind and body of her sister, so she blocked her off and shut her out and came to the conclusion that in order for her and her sister to survive, they would need to evolve beyond their instincts. Taking inspiration from a Ant Mimic, the MC decides that the best way for them to survive long term, would to be hide the very fact she's an Ant, and convince the Humans, that she is human. She uses her Chimera ability and Telepathy, to rebirth herself, and her Sister, into new bodies that are biologically closer in outward appearance to normal humans on the surface, and at a glance even internally, but a closer inspection of their internal biology would reveal they're actually not human at all. In doing this, she turns her sister into a Queen Chimera Ant nearly identical to herself in terms of appearance and physical maturity and ability.

After procuring some clothing from the facility, they infiltrate the nearby city where Humans live, in order to learn more about Humans, they planned to hide amongst them, pretend to be Mute and use their Telepathy to communicate with each other and read the minds of the humans around them.

Not knowing it, they had clothed themselves in the uniform of the Hunter Academy and were quickly mistaken for students and while trying to maintain their cover and learn more about humans, they go along with a young man who offers to show them around campus, even going as far as to follow him to his class because it'd seem weirder if they didn't.

Everyone believes that they're transfer students since they're dressed in the academy's uniform and since they can use their Telepathy to peak into everyone's minds for answers, they're somewhat able to blend in and figure out things over the course of the day. Later during what counts as Gym Class for Hunter trainees, some of their Classmates, were showing off their Awakened Abilities, since they were curious about theirs. The MC and her sister, have adopted the identities of Vivi and Lily Alraune, the MC being Vivi. She came up with their names on the spot while panicking just before following the boy to class and she's been crafting their backstory using whatever she could gleam from other students thoughts.

One of their classmates demonstrates the ability to manifest a large humanoid exoskeleton of a Hercules Beetle, which inspires Vivi to adopt that as being very near similar to her and Lily's own very limited shapeshifting ability. She completely fabricates a whole background for her and Lily on the spot while conversing with the others and shows off her original true form by growing out an exoskeleton upon her body using her shapeshifting to achieve it, likening it to the other girls ability which was very similar. Following the conversation of the others and things she's seen herself and through the Hivemind memories, she fabricates her and Lily's backstory as having been the children of someone who worked at the facility where the Chimera Ants had escaped captivity from, and that they were experimented on, granting them these abilities at the cost of their memories. Twisting the origins of herself and Lily from being Chimera Ants taking Human form, to being Humans given the abilities of Chimera Ants. The teacher and students find their story to be entirely believable given what they knew about the facility and what's been released to the public after the Chimera Ants had escaped and what was already known about the facility. It's already public knowledge that they were working on ways to put the powers of Monsters and Demons into humans, so they believe that Vivi and Lily were the only successful cases, granted they lost their memories as a result.

With the teacher's help, Vivi and Lily end up becoming officially enrolled at the Academy, and become the Beetle Girl's roommates much to her excitement to finally have friends with similar abilities as her own.

Vivi is cool under pressure, in combat situations, but she's a total klutz when it comes to socializing and academic stuff, but she's very observant and crafty and quick witted. Aside from her own innate abilities, she likes to train using Spears and massive Broadswords. Vivi enjoys melee combat and exerting her power through physical means being using overwhelming physical strength, speed and or agility. Over time she develops into a Battle Maniac who lusts for battle, be it a friendly fight amongst other students who're able to compete with her, or slaughtering monsters while feasting on them to absorb their genetics and enhancing herself. She never shies away from a fight, even if she ends up getting her ass handed to her completely one sidedly, she'll just laugh it off and come back again later for a rematch cause to her, she enjoys getting her ass beat far more than actually winning a fight, because she loves overcoming challenges like that and seeing her own growth and development. She's someone who hopes that she'll never be the single most powerful person in the entire world, because then that'd mean she has no room left to grow, no challenges left to overcome, so she views her sister Lily as both her beloved sister, and her ultimate rival who has the same potential for endless growth as she herself has.

Lily having been born a worker caste, hasn't fully developed her own individual personality fully even after being reborn a Queen, so she's quite shy and doesn't speak much out loud, but she's very loud telepathically, always talking to Vivi and asking questions about things and helping gather and process information. She absolutely adores Vivi like an older sister, even if technically speaking in both cases she's older, having been born and reborn first, and follows her lead in everything. Lily prefers to use Daggers and Magic Staves and is always eager to assist Vivi in any way she can, even going as far to enroll herself in Magic Classes separately from Vivi, so she could learn and practice Magic herself, while Vivi learns combat techniques, and since they share a Hivemind connection via Telepathy, they're both able to simultaneously learn from each other's experiences. Lily finds Magic to be fascinating and wonderous, where as Vivi mostly finds it fun to play around with and convenient to use. Like Vivi, Lily enjoys challenging herself, but in her case, it's more towards the academic side of things, especially studying Magic, though she isn't afraid to brawl using extreme violence if the situation calls for it which allows her to trick her foes into thinking she's the weaker of the "Alraune Twins" only for them to find out the hard way, she's just as physically powerful as Vivi and that it's utter foolishness to think about getting close to her just cause she plays the role of a Mage.

Pretty good once you get ch 20 or so, I do wish they made this a bit slower paced though.

here i was 55 chapters in, wondering. When is he ever gonna actually use his ability for it's actual intended purpose? xD I was thinking he'd given up on using it and relying solely on it's ability to grant him new abilities xD
